Howdy!

My name is Joshua Garcia, and I am the owner of Karnes City Auction, along with my wife, Shelby Garcia. We are both Goliad, Texas natives, but are now proud residents and members of Karnes City, Texas. I may be a familiar face to some as I have been the auctioneer at Karnes City Auction for six years now before purchasing the barn in September of 2022.

My dream growing up was to one day own a livestock market, and Shelby and I remember countless hours early on in our relationship dreaming about the one day of being owners of one. I grew up coming to the auction barn with my grandparents; it was something I looked forward to doing every Saturday. I knew I wanted to be the one up on the block controlling the market along with being the person in the back making everything go around. So naturally, when I was given the opportunity at only 17 years old to become the auctioneer here at Karnes City Auction, I jumped at it. Then a short six years later the opportunity to purchase it, my dreams were finally coming true!

A little bit of information about my wife, Shelby, who also grew up in and around agriculture her whole life. She is the lady you will be seeing in the office, in the drive-thru, and even in the pens, during the week and on sale days. If you need any bookkeeping information for your taxes, she will be the one to reach out to you. Shelby is a 2023 graduate of the University of Texas at San Antonio and has a bachelor's degree in Marketing, which she puts to use daily at the auction.
We are very grateful to have this opportunity to serve both new and old customers in marketing their livestock and are here to help make the matter as easy as possible. We hope to see many more new faces throughout the years, and we will always be there to greet you with a handshake and a smile.
